Workshop

This interactive workshop will allow you to work on individual goals that are relevant to your needs when learning to use the computer. This could include, but is not limited to, practicing and learning simple and complex tasks using Microsoft Office, internet browsing and email.  As well as, typing skills, managing photos from your camera, and booking Wheel Trans.

The mindfulness workshop is designed to provide tools and resources to you that could help manage emotions such as anxiety, sadness, and frustration.  It will also provide an open forum for sharing of thoughts and feelings and encourage journaling as a way of personal expression.

You will be working out different parts of your body while participating in stretching, building muscle and cardio exercises.  In addition there will be group physical activities to promote team work, attention/concentration and relationship building.

It is recommended that participants come dressed in suitable clothing for exercising and in running shoes.

This workshop is designed around relevant issues regarding your finances and getting the most out of your money.  It will help orient you to matters of money management and financial responsibilities. You will also learn about government programs and how to use budgeting tools.

This cooking program designed to help enhance your existing cooking skills and enable independence in meal preparation.  You will be encouraged to attempt the recipes at home and transfer the new-learned skills to your own kitchens! The group will enjoy the meal together afterwards and participants will be able to take any leftovers home.

*Due to the popularity of this program, this is the same program that is offered on Wednesdays.

Coaches provide opportunities to practice new skills and learn new information through workshops.  These can be information based or hands on activities.  Workshops can include information and discussions based on home safety, brain injury, current events and activities such as cooking, exercise, creative writing and many more topics.
