ABI day program

Location:  Paula Cassin Learning Centre

You will connect with your peers through discussing current events and/or sharing individual experiences.  You are encouraged to come prepared with topics that you have an interest in.

Movie Night

ABI day program

Location:  Paula Cassin Learning Centre

Enjoy a movie and snacks while socializing with your peers!  The group will pick the movie.

Alternate weeks - you will enjoy a movie at the Cineplex Odeon Queensway theatre.  Admission is covered, you just have to pay for your snacks.

 

Exercise

ABI day program

Location: Paula Cassin Learning Centre

You will be working different parts of your body while participating in stretching, building muscle and cardio exercises.  In addition there will be group physical activities to promote team work, attention/concentration and relationship building.

 

Weekday Chef

You will enhance your existing cooking skills to enable you to be more independent in meal preparation.  You will be encouraged to attempt the recipes at home and transfer the newly-learned skills to your own kitchen!  You will enjoy the meal together afterwards and take any leftovers home.

Bakery Club

ABI day program

Location:  Paula Cassin Learning Centre

You will enhance your existing baking skills, as well as, learn new skills in the kitchen.  The focus is on making pastries and desserts.  You will enjoy the goodies together afterwards and take any leftovers home.

 

My Computer and I

ABI Day Program

location: Paula Cassin Learning Centre

You will work on your individual goals around learning to use the computer.  This could include, but is not limited to, practicing simple and complex tasks using Microsoft Office, internet browsing and email.  As well as, typing skills, managing photos from your camera and booking Wheel Trans.

Canada Day - Head Office closure

PACE Head office will be closed on Monday July 3rd. 

Client Event - Trip to 400 Flea Market in Innisfil

Join us for a day at the 400 Flea Market in Innisfil.

Pick-up and drop-off is from the PACE Head office location at 970 Lawrence Avenue West.

Arrive by 9:45 a.m. and the bus will leave at 10: 00 a.m.

Fee: $20.00/per person

  • Light snack and water on the bus
  • Attendant services available
  • Bring cash for shopping as some vendors may not have an interact machine
  • You may bring a family member or a friend but space is limited
  • You will need to purchase your own lunch at the Market
  • Return rides should be arranged for 4:30 p.m.

What is Breaking the Ice?

Breaking the ICE is a consumer focused conference for people who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). 

The purpose of the conference is to provide individuals who use AAC an opportunity to learn from each other, create meaningful relationships in the community, and have a platform to share ideas and feelings. 

World Hand Hygiene Day

May 5th is World Hand Hygiene Day – which is an annual day dedicated to increasing the awareness of the importance of good hand hygiene.

PACE recognizes the importance of and practices good hand hygiene every day!
