We are taking time on Attendant Services day - October 26, 2018 - to celebrate at PACE.

On behalf of the Senior Leadership team, thank you to each and every staff member individually - and as teams - for choosing to be the difference-makers in the lives of the clients PACE supports!  We sincerely appreciate the hard work that you do each and every day.

Hundreds of not-for-profit organizations across Ontario, like PACE, have been supporting people with disabilities and seniors all year – this month, we’re looking to increase awareness of the important services we provide.

October is Community Support month, an opportunity to celebrate the home and community care services which help over a million Ontarians live independently in their own homes each year.  In addition to Attendant Services (Supportive housing and Attendant Outreach), there are over 25 different community support services, including Meals on Wheels, Alzheimer and adult day programs, transportation to medical appointments, friendly visiting, caregiver support, hospice and palliative care services, and much more.

Important facts about PACE:

Come sailing at Harbourfront!  It will be just our group at Queen’s Quay Disabled Sailing - sailing from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.  They have staff and mechanical lifts available to accommodate all mobility levels.  As sailing space is limited to 20 participants, it will be held for those with HD only.

After sailing, join us for lunch at the Swiss Chalet next door from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  PACE can provide staff for meal assistance.  Family/attendants are welcome to join us for lunch and socializing.

There is no cost to participate.

Space is limited and first-come, first-serve, so please register quickly!

Participants are responsible for their own transit to and from the venue.
