Money Management

This workshop is designed around relevant issues regarding your finances and getting the most out of your money.  It will help orient you to matters of money management and financial responsibilities. You will also learn about government programs and how to use budgeting tools.

Weekend Chef*

This cooking program designed to help enhance your existing cooking skills and enable independence in meal preparation.  You will be encouraged to attempt the recipes at home and transfer the new-learned skills to your own kitchens! The group will enjoy the meal together afterwards and participants will be able to take any leftovers home.

*Due to the popularity of this program, this is the same program that is offered on Wednesdays.

Let's Learn

Coaches provide opportunities to practice new skills and learn new information through workshops.  These can be information based or hands on activities.  Workshops can include information and discussions based on home safety, brain injury, current events and activities such as cooking, exercise, creative writing and many more topics.

Computer Skills

This interactive workshop will help you practice and learn simple and complex tasks using Microsoft Office, internet browsing and email.

Living Healthy

Individuals will be working out different parts of their bodies while participating in stretching, building muscle and cardio exercises.  In addition there will be group physical activities to promote team work, attention/concentration and relationship building. Further, a component of the workshop will be dedicated to discussions of nutrition and wellness. 

Understanding the Brain and Brain Injury

This workshop is geared towards individuals who want to have more knowledge around how the brain works and the way an injury can affect their cognition.  Individuals will also have the opportunity to share their personal stories and experiences with their peers.

Stress Management

This workshop focuses on the different types of stresses individuals face, and how they are coping with those stresses presently.  This group is a place for individuals to discuss their personal stresses with a group of their peers, as well as, receive information regarding health risks, types of stressors and coping strategies.  Tips on stress management will be provided.
