Harriet Thornhill is an experienced financial services executive recognized for leading with purpose, impact, and a deep commitment to developing people. Prior to her retirement in 2022, she served as Vice President, RBC Global Contact Centres, where she led a geographically dispersed team of more than 3,000 professionals across multiple lines of business. In this role, she provided strategic and operational leadership, accelerated digital adoption, and drove strong business performance, client loyalty, and employee engagement. Harriet also served as Regional President, Personal Banking, Caribbean, where she played a key role in advancing RBC's Caribbean growth strategy and performance transformation initiatives, and as Regional Vice President for one of RBC's high-growth markets in the Greater Toronto Area. A passionate advocate for community leadership and mentorship, Harriet has championed numerous initiatives that advance education, youth, and leadership development. She has served as Chair of the Black Business and Professional Association's National Scholarship Program and has contributed her expertise on several advisory committees and not-for-profit boards, including the Stratford Festival and Tyndale University, where she currently serves as Chancellor. Harriet is the Founder of HT Leadership by Design Inc., a leadership practice that creates trusted spaces where leaders strengthen their effectiveness through reflection, meaningful dialogue, and continuous learning.
