Please note - Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Paula Cassin Learning Centre is closed to the public. However, PACE is pleased to provide virtual programming options for existing and new clients.

What you need to know - How to Register

  • Programs are open to adults 18-65, and living with a disability
  • No waiting lists for any programs
  • Program participation is FREE(unless indicated for certain activities)
  • You can register at any time - you don't have to attend the entire session
  • No limit to the number of programs that you can register for and participate in

MONDAYS

Exercise – 10:00 – 11:00

You will be working different parts of your body while participating in stretching, building muscle, improving reflexes and cardio exercises. For virtual access, you will need access to the internet via a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Also an email account and a camera attached to your device.

Let’s Learn – 11:15 – 12:15

This program offers information on a variety of different topics. I.e. history, science, space. It will use informative videos, articles and information presented by a coach. Each week the group will decide what the topic for the next week will be. So come with ideas and a curious mind. For virtual access, you will need access to the internet via a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Also an email account and a camera attached to your device.

Everyday Science – 13:30 – 14:30

In this program you will watch a variety of experiments that help expand your knowledge and understanding of the world around you. The program will cover a variety of sciences and modes of experimentation. For virtual access, you will need access to the internet via a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Also an email account and a camera attached to your device

TUESDAYS

Chair Yoga 10:00 -11:00

In this program you will have the chance work and stretch your muscles using standard yoga techniques performed in a sitting position. For virtual access, you will need access to the internet via a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Also an email account and a camera attached to your device.

Current Events 11:15 – 12:15

In this program you will learn about and discuss the most recent news and events from around the world. Each week the group will discuss information gathered from a variety of news and information sources that reflects what has happened during that week. For virtual access, you will need access to the internet via a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Also an email account and a camera attached to your device

Train Your Brain – 13:30 – 15:00

You will play different games and puzzles that will provide you with a chance to practice a range of attention, memory and problem solving skills. This is a virtual program where you will be able to see and interact with others on the screen. You will need access to the internet via a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Also an email account and a camera attached to your device.

WEDNESDAYS

Dance Chair Aerobics – 10:00 – 11:00

This seated dance fitness workout will get your body moving and hands clapping. Let’s tone muscles, improve flexibility and burn calories in a fun way. This is a virtual program where you will be able to see and interact with others on the screen. You will need access to the internet via a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Also an email account and a camera attached to your device.

Let’s Get Inspired Online 11:15 – 12:15

We all know people are capable of great things. This program will focus on telling true stories from history through to current times that show the amazing things people have done. Let’s get inspired by these amazing real life examples!

BINGO 13:30-14:30

A copy of the recipes and ingredients will be provided to you in advanced to allow you to prepare the recipe with the coach or at a later time. Meditative Art 13:30 – 15:00

You will be provided an adult colouring book with colouring tools. Meditative music will be played while you create your masterpiece. If you prefer a different art medium you must provide your own tools.

FRIDAYS

All Fun and Games – 13:30 – 14:30

Can you escape the locked room? In this program you will work as a group to solve a variety of problems to escape a digital room. Each week you will participate in two to three different rooms, each with varying levels of difficulty.
