Support Care Worker (female)

The successful candidate must be available to work Monday through Friday – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Qualifications:

• PSW certification is required.
• Experience in providing direct physical support care for adults with physical disabilities in a home setting.

Skills:

• Must be able to demonstrate understanding/knowledge of PACE Policies & Procedures
• Ability to meet the support care needs, as directed by the consumer.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to sustain periods of lifting and transferring consumers.
• Friendly and professional manner.
• Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Knowledge of worker responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

 Wages: As per “Appendix A” of the CAW Collective Agreement, the hourly rates for this job classification, effective April 1, 2011, are as follows:
